Dear Members
As you all know that the consumer protection Act
came to our country on lines of western countries. They have the quick and
scientific redresser for the cases also. At the same time their professional
organizations i.e. AUA, AMA, BAUS, BMA etc have the system of giving scientific
opinions about the cases filed in such courts and their opinions are treated as
valid evidences by their courts. Unfortunately we do not have such system of
helping our professional colleagues by way of educating our members about
prevailing legal systems, making them aware of various insurances specially the
professional indemnity and their lacunas, and giving a scientific opinion about
particular case whether that particular case is a case of negligence or an
inherent complication of any particular procedure despite of acting absolutely
scientifically.
Considering all these facts the USI decided to
form a legal cell to help our members in case they need any time.
Objectives:
1. Making our members law
friendly.
2. Helping our members to
contest the cases in court of law in case they need specially by helping them
to prepare the reply by a penal of senior members of our society.
3. Preparing an official
statement about the complication or deficiency in service, which our members
can put before the court and these can be treated as official statement of the
society.
4. Any other legal matter
arising out of practice will be discussed and help shall be extended.
Methods:
1. From time to time we shall
be sending communications to make our members law friendly.
2. For preparing the reply
the member will have to send 6 photostat copies of the notice and related
documents so that a panel of Urologists can be provided these documents to get
their expert opinion.
3. A penal of legal cell
shall prepare the official statement about the problem and send it to the
member in need. This can be treated as an expert opinion also.
Members are requested to feel free and write to us
about their problems and we assure you that we shall try our best to help.
